Meet the New Board Members!

On Saturday June 8, 2024, WOPLAH hosted its tri-annual election for board members. Positions for Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Chairman, Assistant Chairman, Treasurer, and Organizing Secretary for the 2024/2025 year were decided during the election.

The annual general meeting and election took place in Mumias on a sunny morning and those who attended filled the space with lots of joy and excitement. A member from each support group, the director of WOPLAH, current administrators and board members all joined together for a celebration of both the new board members and the cumulative success of WOPLAH’s initiatives in the past year.

After speeches of gratitude from WOPLAHs directors (organization, programs, and community outreach directors) and appreciation for past board members, voting took place. The following positions were filled as follows: Assitant Secretary – Chrispinus Owino, Secretary – Shamir Asman, Assitant Chairman – Aphayos Manya, Chairman - Imaculate Bwononi, Organizing Secretary - Wilfred Matanga, and Treasurer – Agnetor Akinyi. A huge congratulations to the new board members and best of luck in their new positions!
