The Fight Against Jiggers

WOPLAH has been aiding those affected by the awful infestation by jiggers which are prominent in Kenya. Jiggers are a sub saharan sand flea that become most prevalent in dry seasons. These pests can have horrible implications to Kenyans and others in similar climates since Jiggers can multiply so fast. One Jigger can lay a multitude of egg sacs that can escalate the issue exponentially. Jiggers destroy important soft tissue, mostly on feet and hands, that can lead to horrible infections. WOPLAH has been running an effort to diminish the harsh implications of this sand flea by taking preventative measures and aiding those impacted.
